There simply isn’t enough that can be said about how much really good bread can improve a sandwich or make a meal immeasurably better. Growing up in a household with European parents, we ate only the best breads and pastries. It helped that we lived in New York, the ultimate culinary melting pot with specialty shops of every nationality just around the corner or down the block.
I realized that as I grew up and moved around the country that finding these little gourmet artisan shops wasn’t an easy task. But thanks to Becky and Mary Margaret, I’ve found the only bakery that I’ll be shopping at as long as I live in this area, and I think that it’s only fair to share this little gem with all of our followers.
The place is called La Farm Bakery and it is a bit of France right here in Cary! With a European style hearth oven that creates a perfect crispy crust, they offer more than 15 types of artisan breads plus a great assortment of cookies, pastries and tarts. Stop by for a fresh chocolate croissant or enjoy a sandwich in the cafe before you pick up a fresh loaf of sourdough bread or a hand rolled baguette for home. They have been featured nationally from Oprah and Food and Wine Magazines to the Rachel Ray Show and after you try their breads you will understand why!
If you are new to the area then you’ll want to stay tuned on our future blogs as we will be covering all of Becky and Mary Margaret’s favorite place to eat, drink, shop and just hang out.
