Summertime is upon us, and we at Harper Tate Homes are incredibly excited! One of our favorite seasons in Raleigh, summer evenings are constantly filled with exciting outdoor events that are hard to find anywhere else. A perfect example is the North Carolina Museum of Art’s summer concert series.
The series is held at the NCMA’s Museum Park Theater. While museum theaters are not a dime a dozen, this one is the largest in the United States! The theater also doubles as the entrance to over 100 acres of meadows, woodlands, and trails next to the museum.
With the advent of the NCMA’s summer concert series, Raleigh residents can enjoy magical evenings in this unique area. Nothing beats a beautiful sunset as world-class musicians play into the night.
The multiple Grammy-winning group Los Lobos have already stunned audiences on May 17th, but they are just the beginning. In the months to come there will be some impressive acts playing at the Museum Park Theater that you will not want to miss. These include Glen Hansard who won an Academy Award in 2008 for the song “Falling Slowly” from the motion picture Once, nationally renowned group the Indigo Girls, Dale Watson and the Lonestars, Pink Martini, and many others.
If you haven’t been yet, don’t miss another season of summer concerts at the NCMA’s Museum Park Theater. You can visit their website at http://www.ncartmuseum.org/calendar/type/summer_concerts/ for more information and up coming shows.
